Program Mission
Develop a corps of well-informed volunteers to provide education, outreach, and service dedicated to the beneficial management of natural resources and natural areas within our communities in Louisiana, USA.
Program Description (include how it meets membership criteria)
La currently has 6 active chapters - each with their own boards, by-laws, and officers. Each chapter has 3 representatives on the State Board (LMNA)
Program Partners
LMNA has a memorandum of understanding with the La. Dept. of Wildlife and Fisheries.
Several of the local chapters have relationships with parks and other organizations in their areas.
Curriculum (general objectives and topics, types of instructors, and planned time frame)
At this time curriculum is determined by the individual chapters but all cover basic ecological principals. Instruction is a combination of classroom and field work. All instructors are volunteers from universities, LDWF, and other professional conservation agencies.

All chapters have a service requirement to maintain active status.
