This dynamic conference is for professionals and partner organizations that coordinate, administer, or host training and volunteer programs in natural resource conservation, education, and outreach or for those interested in developing similar programming.  This year the conference will be held in Portland, Oregon at the Word Forestry Center.  There will be many opportunities to explore the natural, cultural and historic sites in and around Portland. During this conference, you can expect to gain knowledge from a diverse range of programs, network with colleagues, and obtain valuable tools to enhance your existing program or develop a new one.

Conference Fee: This year’s registration fee will include three days of conference, including: sessions presented by other ANROSP members from around the country, transportation and attendance to two field trips to natural wonders hosted by Oregon Master Naturalists, attendance at the Awards Ceremony, ANROSP membership meeting, meals Tuesday (lunch and dinner), lunch on Wednesday and Thursday, and plenty of networking opportunities with other ANROSP members.

Full Conference Member Registration: $285

If you are not able to stay for the entire event, there are options to register for single day attendance. Registration by day includes the activities and meals scheduled for that day only.

Single Day Registration: $125

Non-ANROSP members are welcome to attend this years meeting to interact with the program, learn more about the benefits of being an ANROSP member, and get informed about each states program. This registration cost for non-members, includes all meals, field trips, conference sessions.

Full Conference Non Member Registration: $360

If you are traveling with spouses, family, or have other travel companions that would like to register for the field trips only, that is also an option. Please note, there are no meals provided with this registration.

Field Trip Only: $30 each field trip

Lodging: Rooms have been blocked at AC Hotel Portland Downtown for a secured low rate of $169.00 per night. To book your reservation, please click on the link provided below. Please note - all rooms will be released on Monday August 21st.

The hotel has also extended the rate for two days prior and two days post conference. Please note that guests needing rooms on September 16th, & 17th and/or September 22nd & 23rd will need to call AC Portland’s central reservation line to make their reservations over the phone: 1 (888) 236-2427. Please mention ANROSP when booking a room. 

Transportation: Transportation in Portland is easy when using the TriMet! It is recommended that each participant purchase a pass to ride TriMet. It will pick up at AC Portland and drop off at World Forestry Center with a 20 minute ride on the Max Red Line. Fares are $5.00 for a 1-day pass or $25 for a 5 1-day passes. Passes can be bought prior to the conference by online order or upon arrival in Portland at the airport.

Seeking Sponsorships

We are also seeking sponsors for this years meeting. Our attendees include outdoor and environmental educators and volunteers from around the country. Support will allow us to offer scholarships and travel awards to allow more of our members to participate, to allow us to build meaningful connections by underwriting our receptions and networking breaks, and allow us to explore the natural beauty of the state! We’ll demonstrate our appreciation by acknowledging your support on our conference website and outreach and program materials. Apply Now for 2016 ANROSP Program Awards!

The ANROSP Awards Committee encourages you to apply for an ANROSP award for your program, educational materials, volunteer project, program evaluation or outstanding teamwork.  All of our member programs are outstanding and it is time to be nationally recognized for your efforts.  We encourage you to nominate yourself, your program, group or volunteers for these awards. Who understands your work better than you?  This is a great addition to your CV or resume. ANROSP member programs will be recognized with awards for program, educational materials, volunteer project, program evaluation, and outstanding teamwork.  Members are encouraged to nominate yourself, your program, group or volunteers for these annual awards. RFP to Host the 2018 Annual Conference

ANROSP is requesting proposals from eligible programs to host the 2018 annual conference.  Potential host sites are those that have an ANROSP member program in good standing, a commitment to provide local support during the year of the conference, and will provide at least one person to serve on the conference committee and lead the local arrangements committee.  Also, states that have hosted past ANROSP conferences include Arizona, Colorado, Minnesota, Texas, and West Virginia, Illinois, Utah, Pennsylvania, Mississippi, New Mexico, Nevada and Tennessee. RFPs are due August 1, 2017.
